Amara is an incredibly powerful Siren. As a result, she specializes in using her mystical abilities to deal extra elemental damage, gain health, or produce homing projectiles.
When playing Borderlands 3 alone, the most important thing to consider is your survivability. As such, most of the skills you want to equip for Amara are in the Brawl tree, which means using the Phaseslam skill. Here are the skills you want to invest in:. Here are the skills you want to invest in: Root to Rise : increases your Max Health. Clarity: this grants health regeneration. Samsara: whenever you hit an enemy with your Action Skill you gain increase damage and health regeneration. Helping Hand s : Grants damage reduction after using your Action Skill. Mindfulness: improved movement speed and your shields recharge after a shorter period whenever you take damage. One with Nature: increase Max Health and Elemental resistance to whatever element her Action skill is.
Guardian Angel: gives you an automatic second wind among other benefits. Violent Tapestry: inflicting Status Effects also grants Rush stacks. Alacrity: Rush stacks give increase reload speed.Probably gonna also use Ties that Bind with Allure so I can bunch everyone up before beating them down.
Screenshot 9. Remnant should also help with that since it acts like Deliverance except on-kill. Brawl is the second tree choice primarily to give Amara some tanking capabilities. While her health regen is primarily from Soul SapClarity and Samsara add to that regen. Screenshot So my original goal was to min max the rush mechanic from the phasecast blue tree. So the first thing I looked at is how can I make Rush as reliable as possible and Violent Tapestry is key to this.
Get stacks from applying elemental effects and get higher chance to apply elemental effects from it. Beyond that Do Harm, Alacrity, Awakening and the capstone double action skill use all play into stacking up and burning rush as much as possible. For action skill I like Deliverance because it helps stack rush. For action skill element I recommend using fire with shock weapons. This maximizes Tempest while still hitting two weaknesses with Infusion.
Anima is obviously just a good choice for boosting damage output when you are focusing on elemental effects. I am stopping at level 50 because I think it is the highest we can reasonably theorycraft at this point based on previous games. The rest of my talent choices I think are obvious with Sustainment being the best choice for that level 50 point because there is a huge difference in health recovery between no life leech and any existing life leech.
The best Borderlands 3 builds for each class
I believe Josh Siegler made it? This is my above rush build but with the phaseslam tree instead of the elemental tree. The rush aspect remains the same. One big thing I love about this build is Samsara with the double action skill. You can use it with any of the offensive action skills though I think you can reliably get more stacks from Downfall or Deliverance. The augment Revelation, which makes your action skill cause enemies to give off a nova, is potentially very potent here.Choosing which of the four new Vault Hunters to play as in Borderlands 3 is just the first of many choices affecting how one can play the game.
Series veterans know this already, but newcomers are going to be faced with a slew of ways to customize a character as they level up. With all of that, a helpful guide might be handy for figuring out how to make the most of it, especially for those who decide to play as the beefy Siren Amara. Here are some of the builds Borderlands 3 players have come up with so far:. As such, players have the option to swap between multiple Action Skill Elements that change the elemental properties of damage dealt depending on the needs of any given situation.
This ensures players should always be capable of damaging enemies in the way that hurts them most. A lot of the upgrades in this tree embrace a more up-close and personal gameplay style, boosting things like max health, health regeneration, and, of course, melee damage, so players can run in and run out of battle without dying instantly.
Players need to max out the Brawl tree to take full advantage of this setup with late-game Passives. Pulling heavily from the Fist of the Elements and Mystical Assault trees, this build emphasizes upgrades designed to improve weapon handling and make enemies easier to hit from a distance. With all of the customization options for them to experiment with throughout Borderlands 3 's campaignwho knows what the optimal Amara build is going to look like.

I finally hit 50 with my first Borderlands 3 character, Amara, but it was clear I had broken the game with her well before that. Early onI wondered if a melee build was going to actually be viable in the endgame of Borderlands 3given how much it puts you at risk, and how much health enemies get at higher difficulties. I cannot express just how much I am currently crushing the game with this build. So, how to put it together?
Part of it is the skill tress, part of it is a few lucky drops and super helpful legendaries. I will show you all the pieces of the puzzles here. This is the core of the build. The most important skills in this tree are the damage protection from Helping Hands, and the increase melee damage from Find Your Center and Blitz. Also key for Amara is Guardian Angel which auto-resurrects you from death with full health once every few minutes. In this melee build you may go down a lot, but you will never stay there.
All you need here is the status effect perk and then the single melee damage perk in the second row that also converts your damage to your action skill element. Guns are very much not super important to this build since you will quite literally almost never have to use them.
I Broke ‘Borderlands 3’ With This Amara Melee Build For Mayhem 3
I could improve this part of my build with a gun with a bayonet that gives me even more increased melee damage, which I am currently searching for. This is really key to this build. I got this from my first final boss kill as Zane.
This was another extremely lucky drop for me, as it came from the final chest in the game. Amara is a master and punching her way through everything, even if her boss burning time may be slower. Anyway, I know this build is not perfect, but it has done wonders for me in Mayhem 3, and after only about 30 hours of play too. Let me know how it works for you. It would probably make more sense to primarily categorize builds into melee, gun, hybrid, etc. The aformenentioned roles on the other hand are universal and probably are what most people are considering first when looking for a build.
The builds themselves then can mention the skill trees in use. Thanks for all this! Been out of town for a few days, let me get those added.

The Great Horned Skag is a good pet for the gun damage bonus, and Atomic Aroma keeps a cloud of radioactive pain around your little buddy at all times. It dissolves crowds. Easy pick. Who Rescued Who gifts a little health regen kick to the pet when FL4K damages an enemy and vice versa. Lick the Wounds is a must, gifting your pet the ability to resurrect you. Between Second Winds and faithful pets, dying is difficult.BEST TIES THAT BIND AMARA BUILD FOR MAYHEM 10 - Max Action Skill Damage, Ricochets - Wheel of Pain
Let the pet take the lead and get some laps in. Gamma Burst and Atomic Aroma are still the go-to Action Skill and Augment combo, but this build fares much better with teammates, especially without Lick the Wounds to double your res chances. The Spiderant Countess is a good pet pick for the health regeneration and damage reduction bonuses, as well as its ability to make a huge corrosive puddle. Poor aim be damned. Godhands Good for: Crowd control, AoE elemental damage. Action skill Ties That Bind sets the stage for an elemental AoE nightmare, summoning a giant fist that locks down an unlucky enemy and links all nearby enemies, sharing damage between targets.
The Allure augment makes sure everyone gets linked too, summoning a singularity that bunches everyone up. Catharsis and Indiscriminate are the capstones, causing all enemies with an elemental status effect to explode on death and spreads status effects via bouncing bullets respectively. A lovely mess, this build. This build is all about aggressive, close-quarters combat with skills that bolster melee damage and cut down on the action skill recharge timer.
The remaining passives are all about increasing melee damage, Action Skill effects, and health regen.
