I have ordered things in the past and paid for faster shipping and when it didn't come and I called they said that the 2 day shipping is only after their processing time which is an additional days for that particular place.

If it hasn't shipped yet, I doubt you will have it by Friday. Basically, it means just what it says - the product you ordered has been packed up and labeled but hasn't been given to the UPS person yet. Once the UPS person picks up the package from the business that's shipping it to you, they will enter the information in the UPS system by scanning the package and the tracking will begin.
This shipping status usually means that the vendor shipping the item paid for and printed a label, but UPS hasn't picked up the package from them or the mailing outlet they used yet. Be aware that sometimes, UPS updates their tracking status in chunks which is very annoying. I had a laptop shipped to me which had that same shipping status for several days, and then was suddenly across the county and out for delivery. I commandeered said shipment.

The USPS has received the notification that this has been done. The carrier has not yet come to pick it up. Not knowing the nature of the package you are referring to, maybe online purchase, purchase on eBay, or something else.
When I sold stuff on eBay usually I would get multiple packages ready, so their labels would be printed but until I took them to the post office or they were picked up this is the message that would display for each of the packages I have printed the label for. This is usually an indication that the shipper has used an online process for generating a shipping label and paying the postage for the shipment, but that the package has not yet been shipped.
It could also mean that the package has been shipped, but has not yet been scanned into the USPS tracking system still on the truck that picked it up from the shipper.
Once the package arrives at your local postal processing center, it will be scanned and then you will see statuses as it moves through the system. That just means a Number Tracking Number has been issued. But, that Number usually on a postal label has not been scanned into the system. Anyone ever run into an issue where a box has been stuck at "Label Created"? Box was dropped off Friday at Fedex. Was it an actual FedEx location or a place that provides FedEx services? I live in a rural area and drop off FedEx packages at a copy shop. The boxes stay on Label Created until the box is picked up and brought to the local hub which is about an hour away.

Local Fedex drivers pick up Mon-Fri from the hubs. If I get to one on late Friday or Saturday the package will sit there until pick up time on Monday. The number is in the system but the box isn't moving. Sender went to Fedex drop off to inquire.

It may or may not apply to some other classes of mail. That terminology now refers to a master shipping container barcode for a bulk container of mail being handled within USPS, that holds your package, and many others.
Of course, at this point, your package and others are known to USPS as being assigned to that bulk container. After the container gets to the sort facility, packages are unloaded and each gets individually scanned on the automated sort facility conveyer system. Why they changed it? That scan is using Greenwich Mean Time instead of local time. I advise caution before relying on information from USPS staff and management personnel in your local post office as authoritative or even partially correct.
The process you described does not remotely resemble what happens to my First Class parcels. That is interesting and I thank you for posting. There are definitely false entries in tracking. I could, and did, prove it. I have no idea what you are talking about. When it It says Shipping Label Created it has nothing to do with any scan. That is what it means.
That they the USPS have received and accepted the tracking info for that label. It has nothing to do with bulk containers. Whoever told you all that stuff does not know what they are talking about. It certainly does not work that way here. Sample tracking, we printed a label in the morning, took it to the post off ice in the afternoon. Person drops off package directly at a sort center, eliminating need for transport in an intermediate container from post office to sort center.
Our knowledge scopes are limited to what we have experience with. Captain Obvious here. Some system changes within USPS evolve over time to an eventual systemwide uniform procedure. One post office we deal with is now using a new 3rd party retail software system at the counter it went into effect 2 weeks ago. The other two post offices do not yet have it. Tracking scan status info is continually evolving as well. I also went back over a month to check additional histories … Before Daylight Saving Time went into effect, the recorded scan time difference was 5 hours later than local time.I just ordered a basic laptop with shipping expected days!

I sincerely regret your disappointment. The product invoices on the day it ships, which is also the date your warranty becomes effective. If you pay to upgrade the shipping, or if the item is purchased through the Dell Advantage Rewards Program, you are entitled to 2 day shipping.
